The duration of the Pre-University course is spread over a period of 2 academic years.
Medium of instruction is English. However, students may, at their option, answer in either English or Kannada in the public examination.
The course of study is in 2 Parts:
Part – I: Language
Part – II: Core Subjects
English with an option for Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit and French.
Candidates who wish to take their admission should bring a completely filled application form along with four passport-size photographs and a statement of marks obtained in the 10th examination, duly attested by the Headmaster/Principal of the school.
A district level examination will be conducted at the end of the academic year by the Department of Pre-University education. A candidate has to secure 30% marks in each paper and 35% in aggregate to get promoted to II PU.
A state level examination will be conducted at the end of the academic year by the Department of Pre – University education.
